Rockin’ Robotics: Introduction to Basic Robotics and Coding

Park Shore’s exciting new Rockin’ Robotics program is designed to introduce young minds to the concept of programming and robotics through fun, age-appropriate hands-on learning activities. Over the course of the 6-week program, children will learn the concept of programming by using directional language, such as arrows, in lieu of words to move robots through self-created mazes and various challenges. Legos, blocks and other tools will be used to inspire creativity while learning about basic programming and sequencing. iPads will be incorporated intermittently as part of the curriculum to add another dimension to their interactive learning experience. We are so excited to move full STEAM ahead into the 21st century with our new Rockin’ Robotics program!
Children must be 3.5 – 5 years old in order to participate in this class.
- Introduction to basic programming, robotics and associated concepts
- Hands-on, creative, team building exercises to promote and develop communication skills
- Early exposure to concepts that develop critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Activities designed to reinforce letter, word, shape and number recognition, as well as sequencing.
EXTREME STEAM SCIENCE KIDS

In our Extreme STEAM Science Center, your child will be participating in amazing hands-on learning experiences. They will explore the world around them by learning basic engineering, using microscopes, and interacting with marine life in “The Cave”, featuring aquariums and touch tanks. This program is held in our NEW State-of-the-Art STEAM Science Center.

Let’s get ready to bring our our artistic talents! With Park Shore’s new art program children have the opportunity to explore the diverse and fascinating world of the arts. Working with various mediums such as watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, and more the children will be introduced to famous works of art while developing their own artistic talents. An early introduction to the arts can blossom an appreciation and creativity in children that is hard to find elsewhere. Come join us to unleash the creativity!

All Stars Gym Program

Calling all physical fitness and athletic kids! Come spend the hour with Miss Jackie our Gym teacher and enjoy outdoor and indoor activities. Miss Jackie will incorporate soccer, baseball, physical challenges, boot camp and nutrition into this program. The class will end with a nutritious snack and valuable information relating to good food choices and a healthy lifestyle. Bring your “A” game and sneakers.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? I see children excited to learn. Instill the joy of reading and literature early and it will follow your child throughout their life. Enjoy interactive literacy experiences. Early introduction to the Language Arts improves language development and social skills. Phonemic awareness, phonetic writing and leveled readers will be introduced according to each child’s readiness. Early introduction to reading helps foster the love and appreciation of reading!

This new academic adventure program will introduce students to logic, measuring, patterns, sequencing, counting, addition, subtraction, and critical thinking. This program will use manipulatives, books, and hands on activities that will give our students a clear understanding of how math works in our world.

We are very excited to offer our NEW Preschool & Kindergarten After-School Program called ACADEMIC ADVENTURES. Park Shore believes the best way to reinforce learning is through Recreational Academics…playing with a purpose. Our after school programs introduce interesting and engaging academic experiences in a fun and stimulating atmosphere. Children learn best when they are having fun. Park Shore strongly believes that early exposure to educational programs will give your child the foundation for success in their academic future. Your child will receive small group and individual attention given by experienced teachers.
